Warm Welcome at Jenkins Legal

Jenkins Legal and Advisory are excited to announce the appointment of Nicholas Rose to the team.

Nicholas brings to the practice of law his background in running his own businesses and a digital marketing consultancy in Melbourne. He has formerly worked for the federal privacy regulator (OAIC) and a boutique estates, estate litigation and commercial firm in Sydney.

Nicholas can assist you with all Will and Estate Planning document drafting, including testamentary trusts, powers of attorney, enduring guardianships, and advance healthcare directives. Due to his experience in will disputes (estate litigation), he understands the importance of correct drafting to avoid costly litigation.

Commercial Partner and Legal Director Micah Jenkins said, “Our Estate Planning group has grown well over the last few years under the leadership of Sally Davies, a highly skilled and dedicated estates law specialist, and Jenkins Legal & Advisory Partner. This has necessitated the addition of Nicholas, especially as our work in estate litigation grows. Sally and Nicholas will together provide the highest quality service and advice in the estate planning and estate litigation area of the firm.”

In the privacy law area, Nicholas recently resolved a major privacy compliance project for a local government body that suffered an adverse tribunal judgement. This experience, along with that gained at the OAIC, means Nicholas is uniquely positioned to advise companies, health service providers, and government agencies on their privacy and data breach obligations at State and Federal levels.

Nicholas has continued to study a Master of Health Law at the University of Sydney, specialising in end-of-life planning and rights, guardianship and capacity, and the development of rights to privacy. His areas of interest include protecting healthcare and testamentary autonomy, contesting wills and estates, ensuring the secure transfer of digital assets, and the lawful use of technology by companies and government agencies.

When working with Nicholas, clients can expect an approach to protecting their interests that is both pragmatic and considerate of newly developing issues. Whether it is ensuring your business’s social media policies can avoid regulatory fines, purchasing a competitor’s website without losing SEO rankings, protecting your personal healthcare decisions as you age in a world of rapidly changing treatments, or making sure your loved ones get those cryptocurrency investments when you die, Nicholas will help you to plan for what other’s see as a problem to deal with in the future.
