The Lake Mac Libraries app is free to download and allows smartphone users 24/7 access to a huge range of resources and services.
App overview:
Ø Use a smartphone or tablet to access a huge range of eBooks, eMagazines, audiobooks and music streaming services.
Ø Borrow items directly from the app using the ‘self-checkout’ function at any Lake Mac Libraries branch
Ø Manage loans and reservations with the touch of a button, and reserve items at any of Lake Mac’s 10 libraries.
Ø Use the app as your digital library card and manage multiple accounts in one place – perfect for families!
Ø Scan any book’s barcode to see if there is a copy available in branch.
To celebrate the launch of the new ‘self-checkout’ function, Lake Mac Libraries are giving borrowers the chance to win some high-tech prizes – including an iPad and Apple Watch – for using the app.
To be eligible, simply download the app and either borrow an item using the app’s ‘self-service’ function or renew an existing loan using the app.
