Newcastle Theatre Company

SATURDAY 18 NOVEMBER - SATURDAY 2 DECEMBER

Newcastle Theatre Company presents The Appleton Ladies Potato Race, a production about standing up for what is right. Set in the small country town of Appleton, renowned for potato growing and the annual show that hosts the Appleton potato race, the prize money for winners of the race is $1000 for men but only $200 for the ladies. That doesn't seem quite right! The play explores themes of sole parenting, family disconnect, health and refugee acceptance through the eyes of five ladies who work together to shoulder the load. This production is guaranteed to be thought-provoking and conversation starting. For more information or to book tickets, visit www.newcastletheatrecompany.com.au
