Opened in 1929, City Hall is one of Newcastle's most prestigious and unique venues and has played host to a vast array of functions over the decades.

Hunter Valley wines include Margan, Tyrrells, Scarborough, Krinklewood, Vinden and Andrew Thomas. Beers are brewed locally at Steel City Beer Company, Murray's Craft Brewing Co., Hope Estate, Foghorn Brewery, Styx Brewery and Method Brewing. Cheeses are sourced from Hunter Belle in the Upper Hunter, and Glitch Coffee Roasters supply their high-quality beans. Eggs for desserts and breakfasts have been laid by free-range, organically-fed chickens on the shores of Lake Mac.
