Eat, drink and play with Dine & Discover NSW

How far can $25 go? Now is the time to find out! The NSW Government has recently launched Dine & Discover NSW to encourage us to get out and about and support dining, arts and tourism businesses. Every NSW resident aged 18 and over is eligible for four $25 Dine & Discover NSW vouchers worth $100 in total.

This is the perfect opportunity to make the most of what Newcastle has to offer - discover new experiences, catch up with family or friends over a great meal, or see ‘that’ show you’ve been waiting for.

There’s a bevvy of choices when it comes to local businesses who’ve signed up to participate in the initiative and you can browse the Service NSW business finder for some inspiration. For peace of mind, participating businesses need to be registered as COVIDSafe.

While NSW residents can only redeem one voucher per day at a business, with some careful planning you could get a meal (using a Dine voucher) and experience (using a Discover voucher), taking a total of $50 off an outing! Your friend or partner could also use one of their vouchers towards the total.

There’s so many options available so we’ve put together a few ideas for ways you can use your Dine & Discover vouchers around Newcastle...

See a show

With capacity restrictions lifted as of Monday 29 March, big nights out at Civic Theatre are possible once again! Receive $25 off your next ticket purchase with your Discover NSW voucher. The vouchers are redeemable on ANY show yet must be booked in person at the Ticket Office or by calling 4929 1977. Read more.

Discover more

Redeem your Discover NSW voucher on a Newcastle Museum experience the whole family will enjoy these school holidays! $25 is the equivalent of a family pass to Colour, a special exhibition direct from Questacon – the National Science and Technology Centre. Valid for bookings from 5 April onwards.

Go on an adventure

Get up close and personal with the critters at Blackbutt Reserve. Redeem your Discover NSW vouchers on a Critter Encounter, Reptile Encounter, or a Ranger Guided Tour. Read more.

Find out more on how to redeem your voucher from Service NSW and remember, planning is the key as vouchers can only be used once, can’t be used on public holidays, and are valid until 30 June 2021.
