In today's fast-paced world, where technology governs nearly every aspect of our lives, keeping up with the latest advancements can be overwhelming, particularly with the advent of artificial intelligence (AI). This is especially true for women who balance multiple roles and responsibilities, at home, at work, and in their communities.

Understanding the challenges women face, The Place: Charlestown Community Centre supported by Good Things Australia, is part of a network of services delivering an exciting new program, Digital Sisters - AI for Good. This program aims to empower participants by providing them with the skills and knowledge to leverage Artificial Intelligence (AI) in both their personal and professional lives.

AI is transforming industries across the globe, from healthcare and education to business and entertainment. However, many women with limited access to technology or low digital skills are at risk of being left behind in this digital revolution.

The Digital Sisters - AI for Good program addresses this issue by providing a supportive, hands-on learning experience. Participants will explore how AI can improve their daily lives, from learning new skills, and automating routine tasks at home to increasing productivity at work. This program will demystify AI, giving women the confidence to engage safely with this powerful technology.

Digital Sisters - AI for Good is designed for:

  • Migrant women seeking to build digital literacy and integrate more easily into the local community and workforce.

  • Women looking for opportunities to enhance their job skills.

  • Parents and caregivers interested in using technology to support their children’s learning and manage their time more effectively.

  • Women who find it challenging to keep up with the rapid changes in digital technology.

The program offers practical training sessions providing participants with hands-on experience using AI tools and applications and will officially kick off for women in the Hunter on November 7th and 9th, 2024.

Attendees will have the opportunity to meet program facilitators, participate in live demonstrations, and ask questions. Whether you're completely new to AI or already have some familiarity with it, this event will provide valuable insights and offer a chance to sign up for upcoming training sessions.

Digital Sisters - AI for Good is designed to help you understand how AI can work for you - don’t miss this opportunity to start your AI journey in a supportive and empowering environment! Mark your calendar for either November 7th or 9th, 2024, from 10 AM to 12 PM, at The Place Charlestown.
