A Taste of Medowie 2023 | Blueheath at The Bower
Big celebrations are set to take place again at Blueheath at The Bower, Medowie’s newest retirement village.
Following last year’s highly successful event, A Taste of Medowie, the festivities are back, inviting residents and visitors to enjoy live music, delicious treats from local producers, cooking demonstrations, wine and beer talks and tasting. A special lucky door prize is also up for grabs: a luxury Hunter Valley getaway.
David Kelly, Operations Manager of Blueheath, expressed his delight at the overwhelming response from the crowd on the day.
“Hundreds of people turned up, which inspired us to establish this as an annual event,” said Kelly.
“While some of our residents have always had a deep connection with and fondness for the area, we are also fortunate to have residents from further afield. It’s incredible how quickly they develop an affinity for Medowie and the wider Port Stephens and the Hunter Valley areas, becoming an integral part of the community. This event will showcase the very best of Medowie and its magnificent surroundings - the stunning location, the thriving community, and the exceptional produce.”
In addition, visitors get a glimpse into retirement living at Blueheath. The retirement village welcomed its first residents in 2021, with new stages selling out rapidly. Blueheath has established a wonderful clubhouse with activities such as bowling, the gym, crafts, a heated pool, and many others.
“It’s a fantastic community here,” said Kelly.
“We’ve even had a few residents form a band to jam together!”
