The renovations are complete and local favourite; The Persian Place is once again serving up the wonderful flavours of Persia.
Incredibly, it’s been five years since Babak (Bob) Abbaszadeh and his wife, Freda, first opened the doors to their popular restaurant on Bolton Street and introduced locals to the authentic tastes of modern Iranian cuisine!
Now, after undertaking a massive renovation to celebrate their 5th year, The Persian Place is now completely revamped and open for business with Bob and his team doing what they do best – serving up delicious food in a relaxed and welcoming environment.
Expect a warm welcome; gold stitched tablecloths, intricate paintings, cushions and Persian rugs covering the floor and walls – all this amongst the wonderful sweet aromas of Persian cuisine.
Choose between the Sharing Mazzeh menu with a choice of large and small dishes or the Sharing Banquet menu which is perfect for larger groups and very reasonably priced. As with all Mazzeh style dining, the dishes are designed to be shared and eaten slowly to stimulate conversation. This is true Middle Eastern style dining!
The menu is full of delicious earthy and classic Iranian flavours, with herbs, rich meats and sauces, vegetables such as eggplant and potatoes and a clear presence of saffron throughout. There is something for everyone and ideal for people who have dietary requirements with the menu being almost completely gluten-free.
