The Children’s Charity’s 40th Anniversary at Newcastle’s inaugural Variety of Chefs 2015 is on Saturday 29 August 2015. Follow this unique recipe for an evening of delectable delights!

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 x Magnificent celebration for Variety’s 40th Anniversary year in Australia.

  • 4 x Refreshingly talented, Australian culinary greats donating their time for Variety – the Children’s Charity; Peter Kuruvita (Flying Fish, Noosa Beach House), Lesley Taylor (Lesley Taylor Group), Troy Rhoades Brown (Muse Dining) and Timothy Montgomery (Restaurant Mason).

  • 4 x Delicious courses, each matched with its own premium wine.

  • 1 x Hunter Region's largest and most prestigious venue, Newcastle City Hall.

  • 1 x Interactive, live kitchen stadium filled with celebrity chefs.

  • 250 x guests with a penchant for mind-blowing gastronomic delights and helping local Aussie kids who are sick, disadvantaged or who have special needs.

  • 1 x Inspirational speech by fifteen year old Siobhan Daley, a Variety grant recipient who received a standing frame.

  • A splash of sensational entertainment, culinary games and live music including a performance by Junkyard Beats.

  • A sprinkling of irresistible auction items with all proceeds going towards supporting Variety kids in need.

METHOD Combine chefs on an interactive kitchen stage to create an inventive, tantalising four course menu Mix with Newcastle and Hunter foodies, friends, clients and colleagues for a night that you'll truly never forget, irresistible auction prizes and sensational entertainment. Serve with a premium collection of fine wines.

PLATE UP the tastiest fine dining charity event on the Newcastle and Hunter region foodie calendar. The inaugural Variety of Chefs Newcastle 2015 will showcase culinary delights and matching wine at Newcastle City Hall from 6:15pm on Saturday 29th August 2015. This sensational night of sophisticated food, premium wines, magnificent entertainment and an irresistible array of prizes is all in the name of fundraising for local kids in need.

COOKING NOTES Variety of Chefs Newcastle aims to raise $60,000 NET this year, with all funds raised during the evening to go toward helping local children who are sick, disadvantaged and have special needs. Variety assists children who ‘fall through the cracks’ of support, to help children live life to the fullest.
